The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team PB Maxxis continued its preparations ahead of the first NRC race later this month in the opening time trial stage of the Tour of Murietta. Rory Sutherland led the charge to the top of the podium, with Karl Menzies and Roman Kilun taking the next two spots just three seconds back. Shane Buysee (SoCalCycling.com) finished in 5th place at 20 seconds back and was the top amateur. In the Women’s race, Ruth Clemence (Specialized Designs for Women) won the time trial with a fast time of 26:23, with Shelly Evans (Peanut Butter & Co. TWENTY 12) finishing in 2nd in a time of 27:02 and Lauren Tamayo in 3rd at 27:33. The Tour de Murrieta continues with a downtown criterium on Saturday.
